 | This hand-painted pictorial map depicts a stretch of the Mekong River that
was explored by a team of whitewater kayakers just before this upper stretch
of the river was dammed by the Chinese government.
In a style reminiscent of Chinese watercolors on silk, elements of the Mekong
landscape, like century-old pines, cliffs and waterfalls (with a kayaker!)
are illustrated.
Created using watercolors, ink and computer typography.
